This what happens when I leave Lil'Will alone with some electrical tape. He told me he was putting up the wood for our campfire! We weren't camping so I am not sure why we needed the wood. But I thought it was very cute.

My Law Enforcer
William had his first actually working day today. He is working the mids schedule. Meaning he goes in at two and gets done at ten. He likes this since he gets to spend the morning with the kids and he leaves right before nap time. Today he is working as a law enforcement officer, or cop. This considered a huge honor since right now they are only using staff sergeants and above due to the surplus of men. He doesn't expect to stay there but that he will be switched back forth between a cop and work security for the flight line. He was super surprised by the fact that he being a cop today for the first time ever and he is solo. He doesn't even know how to put on his lights and sirens yet! About ten minutes after he was assigned his area there was a car accident. He was sure glad he had just learned how to fill out that paper work!

Our Romantic Grand Canyon Trip
Thankfully my mom was willing, or more aptly put, eager to take the boys for a few days and William and I got to have a solo vacation! It was wonderful! We spent four night camping at the Grand Canyon. Yes you heard me right, we camped! Normally it would have been amazing, but it was really cold the weekend we chose to be there. Our camping bags were for 40 degrees and it got down to the low 20's. So after spending two freezing nights we drove 1 1/2 to Flagstaff and bought new sleeping bags! It is amazing how when you get the right gear its not so bad anymore. Really though we had a great time seeing all the views that the canyon had to offer. On the second day we even hiked the canyon. We hiked four miles down and then four very long miles back up! Poor William literally had to pull me back up the mountain! There were many adventurous souls who had hiked all the way down and back up in one day! They hiked a total of 17-18 miles!! They were a lot of fun to talk to while taking breaks. I could see the eagerness in Williams eyes of wanting to do the same. I told he'd have to get some buddies to go do that with. Eight miles were more than enough for me!
I told you this was our romantic trip!
The happy couple on our last full day at the canyon! It finally warmed up enough to wear a short sleeve, but only in the sun!
We are hiking the canyon here.
Seriously so cold!!
I think we both have our eyes closed here!

This a picture of Sophie figuring out how to get to Williams lunch. Her face is so cute all scrunched up! Especially with her ears all perked up.

One very full bed!
We were invited to the Rhineharts for dinner and after the kids ate they all got into bed. It reminded us of thr song, 10 in the bed and the little one said! But I think we were full at four!

St. George Temple
I am sorry I don't know why the picture was sent sideways. I can't seem to fix it, so if you turn your head sideways you may see how regal the building really is! I love having the flag in the picture!
This a picture of the St. George temple. It is amazing!Monday, May 4, 2009
St. George Temple
On the way home from Bryce Canyon we stopped in St. George for lunch and then we decided that we should also visit the temple. We honestly thought it would be a great place to help get the wiggles out of the boys. It turned out to be a wonderful idea. The boys loved being out of the car and it is beautiful! We walked around the grounds and also enjoyed the visitors center.

How James would like to spend his time.
Baby James would love to spend his vacation driving the car. He goes wild for the keys and he even knows where they go! William thinks he is like the boy in Talledega Nights. Hopefully he won't be stealing a car by age 7! We sure love our car crazy boy!

Playing in the snow
Here in Bryce Canyon there is still a lot of snow. In fact Lil'Will only wants to play in the snow. This mound of snow is all the way to Williams neck! On the way here we had to go up a huge mountain that had not just patches of snow but covered in snow higher than the car. It made me nervous, but our campsite is snow free though we got a lot of hail today!

Snow and Hail.jpg
So William loves playing in the unmelted snow, however we are sitting in the car waiting for the hail to stop.

A little off kilter.jpg
This how I feel about the morning. Its just little off kilter. Since we are camping we are sleeping in our tent which just happens to be on a small incline so we slide down at night. So I started the morning in a heap with the boys and James has been crying non stop. I truly hope things get back on track before we all go crazy!
