Mommy: I love you Will-Will.
Lil'Will: No Daddy loves me!
Mommy: But can't I love you too?
Lil'Will: No!! Daddy love me!
Mommy: Then who can Mommy love?
Lil'Will: Baby James
Mommy: Can't I love you AND Baby James?
Lil'Will: No!! DADDY LOVE ME!
Mommy: What about when you get married, Isn't your wife allowed to love you?
Lil'Will: NO! DADDY'S WIFE LOVE ME!!
Mommy: But I am Daddy's wife, so I can love you.
Lil'Will: NO!!! DADDY LOVE ME!!!!!
He then turned away and ran out of the room thinking that I must be pretty stupid, 'cause he had only said it a thousand times. Only Daddy is allowed to love him!
So in this one Lil'Will is on the other side of a door.
Lil'Will: knock, Knock!!
Mommy: Whose there?
Lil'Will: Will-Will (Then he comes running into the room and either you get kisses or hit over the head with some type of stick)(you always hope it is the kisses).
Tonight while saying prayer.
Lil'Will: Thank for Mommy and Daddy. Thank for James. Thank for Papaw and Cow. Thank for Doggies. Thank for toys. Thank for church. Thank for BX. Thank for Cousins. Thank for Doggies go to BX. Thank for Nanna.
Now these things cycled on and on for about ten minutes. I kid you not. We lost James about two minutes into it. He decided to go find some toys. But the best part was when he said that he was thankful for the BX (base exchange). You know when you have fully assimilated into military life when your child says thank you for the BX to his Heavenly Father in his prayers! It took me by shock and I have to admit I started to laugh at that point.
