Complete Denial!
This morning the boys slept in really late. Lil'Will woke up around 8:40 and James woke up after 9! It was crazy wonderful for me. I slept in until 8:30 and then rejoiced in the quiet morning. But the best part of my morning came when Lil'Will woke up. He came running towards me and when I picked him up I noticed that his bottoms were wet, which isn't too odd since he sweats really bad at night, but I noticed his top wasn't wet, an oddity in itself. So I asked him if he went pee in his bed this morning and he looks at me and you can see the gears moving then he says after much thought, "Mom I think James got up last night and peed on ME!!!" I couldn't help but laugh. And that explains my boys relationship to a T!

James Family Birthday Party
Last Thursday our little baby boy celebrated his 2nd birthday. We had a small family party and this coming Saturday we plan on having a larger friends party. His Nana was able to be here as she was picking us up to get ready for Amber's baby shower that happened that weekend. Baby James was so excited that it was his birthday. All day long we'd ask him whose birthday it was and he'd proudly point to himself and say mine!! When I brought home the cake that was all he wanted. He hovered over it saying Cake!, Cake! To the point that he got into it so we went to put it up high and the cake tipped over! So thankfully Nana was here to do a quick fix on it! So the cake looked a little rough around the edges but they loved it! Yes, I know my son had no pants on in these pictures but when we had the cake incident he decided to dance on some of the frosting and wipe his hands off on his shorts!
James blowing out his candles. He took this job very seriously. We hadn't sang yet so he got to blow them out twice!
This is the second attempt
Lil'Will felt a little left out so we had to give him a cupcake to blow out. Here he is licking the candle clean!
James seriously rocked at opening his presents this year. He has it down to 2.6 seconds on every gift!
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Bennett for your totally awesome birthday gifts. They are having the best time playing with them.

Happy 4th of July!
What would the 4th of July be without the quintessential flag cake! May we all celebrate and remember all the soldiers who are not with their families this holiday. We are thankful for their sacrifice as well as their families. Happy Birthday America!
