Halloween!

We had a lot of fun this year. Nana and Trent came up to help us celebrate while William was in Texas for training.

This was my pumpkin, Batman!
Lil'Wills pumpkin ! He loved having a ghost on his.
James at his last house. He tricked or treat for a long time. I was really impressed.
Nana was a shark, I was an M& M, Will was Iron Man and James was the black spiderman.
Trent was a 50's boy, or a guy from grease.
This was James pumpkin. I tried to do a bat them, but Will wouldn't let me and since James didn't care he got a bat.

The boys were real proud of their pumpkins

Will and his pumpkin
My little super heros! They this was what they were supposed to wear, but on Halloween night they decided to switch costumes! I love that they could do that.

More Randomness

This is a cute picture of my Winston all snuggled up with me.
We went to the park and this is how Will rode back. He walked there, but since I had a baby and James there weren't enough seats for him so he rode back there!
This is James trying to see if he can fit a whole package of hot dogs in his mouth! I think he succeeded.
Red Beard!
The buffet table that we finally refinished. We did back in August and we are just so happy with the results!

Random Fall pics

Here the boys are at a pumpkin patch. They are both looking at the camera which is amazing!
Trying to get them to pose by the pumpkins. The place was packed and the kids wanted to play.
James made himself a beard made out of balmex. I think he'd make a good lookin' Santa!
Las Vegas has a minor Hockey team called the Las Vegas Wranglers. The boys really enjoyed the game. James was totally enthralled in the game until he noticed a half hour into it the cute girl sitting in front of us. Then all he wanted to do was to sit with her and play with her! He is such a ladies man!
Lil'Will on his last day of soccer. They handed out trophies and a certificate. He loved it and can't wait for the next season. Until then I am looking to a winter sport for him.

The newest edition to our family ;)!

We would like to introduce Bobby the Beast! He is the newest member of our family! We love him. We have waited over three years to add another member and we feel that Bobby is worth it. Betsy, the maxima, has worked really hard these last three years and we feel that she deserves a brake. Especially when it comes to hauling all our things camping. We have gotten her filled to the breaking point and yet she still carries it all for us. We are very thankful for her contribution to our family, but felt it was time for an addition. Bobby is a 2006 Ford Expedition! He is a beautiful shiny silver and a heck of a deal! The boys love how high they sit when they are in him and they are thrilled that Tank can fit in the back! William and I are not sure why Tank needs to fit in the back of our car but the boys feel it is important. I am thrilled since I am watching more kids I will no longer be a prisoner to the house. We will still be using Betsy for most of our "family" driving. She is smaller and much better at gas so she will still be enjoying most of our usage. Don't worry she wont go neglected! Plus I am afraid that there may be a learning curve in handling Bobby, there is a reason we also call him the beast! I am afraid that I am going to knock someone off the highway and I don't even want to mention the nightmare of parking him!! But I am sure it will all work it self out, hopefully before my insurance gets revoked!

Meet Bobby, Isn't he handsome!

Turkey Time

We made these in play group today. I think they came out so cute. The boys feet are their bodies and their hands are their tail feathers! Ronda had the great idea of putting their bodies on toilet paper rolls! Ingenious! I love them and I had to share.

Random phone pictures

Here are some random pictures from my phone.

Middle aged spiderman! For some reason Will decided to put his blanky in his spiderman costume and make it look like he had a great beer belly! I figured later it was cause spiderman can't hold onto his blanky while fighting bad guys so he needed a place to put it!
Our church play group went to Cici's pizza and they gave the kids a tour of the kitchen and showed them how they make the pizzas and then the boys got to make a pizza and eat it! They loved seeing the back and they especially loved the arcade. It was great because it was done before they opened so the kids could just play and we didn't have to worry about them!
Their pizza before it was baked!
My little super heros!
Spidey needed to go for a ride!

William won AIrman of the Quarter!

About a week and a half ago one of the commanders came into Wills office and asked him if he had submitted his package for Airman of the Quarter. William was shocked because he had only been in the wing for a quarter and figured that he hadn't been there long enough to even put in for such an award. Well his commander told him that he had to have it completed by the end of the day. William than worked really hard on doing his best package, but figured he wouldn't win it cause he had only been there for a quarter. Today was the awards ceremony and William was awarded Airman of the Quarter for the 98th Range Wing! I am really proud of what a rising star he has become since working with the 98th. The ceremony was a much bigger to do than we thought it would be, they had the honor guard and the event was catered. It was an adult only type of event so I missed it, but I am very proud of how awesome he has done!

The honor guard
I thought this was funny cause they took a picture of the chaplain while he was praying!

Running Day 17

Tonight I actually didn't truly dread running. I mean I still put it off until the last very minute that I possibly could, but not because I didn't want to go, but because it is a habit. Tank and I went a new route tonight. Tank did not like this. He likes the old route where he knows all the dogs and the smells. Well tonight we left the neighborhood and went on base. We stayed close to the neighborhood. We went up and out of the neighborhood and took a bike trail to freedom park then ran around freedom park and back to our house. Tank wasn't fond of this route because he kept thinking another dog was following us, his shadow. It really unnerved him. Then we saw several bunnies that made him scared too! So much for my big watch dog! The one part about the new route I was on was that the sprinklers were on at freedom park and as I ran past one it decided to turn and hit me square in my face. It was not a sprinkle but a full hose into my face!! I then had to run the rest of the way sopping wet! I may have to rethink parts of this route since i don't want to get wet when it is cold! I did love how everthing was new and I wasn't bored by where I was. I had to think of where to go next. The bad part is that I have no idea how far i went. I guess I will have to clock it in the car. My legs are sore and I have an early morning tomorrow. Off to bed for me!

The Fire House

This week is fire safety and prevention on base. This means that we were able to go visit the base fire department! It was so much fun. The firemen showed us around all of their fire house. We got to see where they eat, cook, relax, their offices and even dispatch. Since we are on an Air Force base the Firemen are trained on how to fight building fires and plane fires. So they have two structure trucks and two airplane trucks. The boys got to sit in and pretend to drive both. Then at the end of our tour Sparky the fire dog came and visited with us. The boys even got coloring books, fake badges and stickers. I got a large magnet for the fridge and an oven mitt! I can safely say that fire safety and prevention week is a huge hit at the Bennett household! We can hardly wait until next year.

The boys and Sparky
Here they are in the airplane truck. James is driving while Will navigates!
James is really getting a hang of the driving.
Lil'Will taking a turn at the wheel.

James' new best friend

Carol and Gary gave Lil'Will this spiderman that sings songs and dances. The boys love it. William really like the microphone that it came with. He loves to make spiderman sing and then he sings along. But he is real protective of his spiderman, if he is playing with it than no one is allowed to join, cause they may mess up his singing. Yet if he is playing with a different toy then the kids are allowed to play with spiderman. Well, this being said James is really enamored with spiderman. He loves him. He would sleep with him if I let him. He loves to hear it sing and watch him dance. He just loves holding it. Well in these photos James woke up before Will did and therefore got the chance to have spiderman all to himself. He brought him onto the couch to watch tv! He is so cute. I also found spiderman in the baby carrier. I don't know where he was going but he was strapped in real nice. I have that picture on my phone. I will have to post that one soon!

This was the first picture, before he realized I thought he was cute!

Running Day 16

So I think that I am on day 16, I can not be completely positive. I posted day 3 on the 25th which would make this the 16th day of running. I haven't posted much of my running since my Dad complained that I only post about me now and not the kids! Yet at the same time I don't want people to think that I have stopped running. Cause I am still at it! Tank has been a help since he loves to go and get his daily run, or a better term would be prance since he doesn't really have to exert much energy to keep up with me. Tonight while William was at the temple I started to watch CSI NY which turned out to be scary so of course I am completely freaking myself out cause I run in the middle of the night. Plus I run through the neighborhood cause I feel it is safer than to be by the flight line or the golf course in the middle of the night and they are tearing down half of the neighborhood due to it being super old, but they are not rebuilding those homes on this side of base so it will be all new military building which means that they are tearing up those roads, so I tell you this since I will not be able to continue to run my usual route I will have to learn a new one. I thought that tonight I would forge out the neighborhood to form a new route but after the scary show i decided to stay in the neighborhood and just run the small circle twice. Sad I know. Maybe one day I will be brave enough to venture out into the base as well as run during day light hours! Two of my biggest fears!

Beef Stew

In honor of a nice cool day, it only got to 67! We had a lovely beef stew and homemade rolls! It was my first time making stew. I did it in the dutch oven and it was marvelous! Hopefully we will have many more cool days to come!

Lil'Wills 4th Birthday Party

Ever since we moved to Vegas we have done a very low key birthday for Lil'Will. We have always gone to Nana's house, which is his favorite place, and had some friends come over and do cake and ice cream. Very simple. Well, I have felt guilt about it especially since he has wanted a big party with all of his friends and a jumpy house for about 1 1/2 now. So this year we had a super fun birthday party. We had about 12 youngsters come and jump in the jumpy house, we pretended to be batman and we had a pinata! He was so happy. He had been counting down the days since June, we made a paper chain to help him! I am so happy that he had such a great day.

Sorry that this one is sideways, this was a fireman getup that was a gift. He loves it!
Again with the sideways, these are my super heroes, Batman!
James loves his Batman mask, he wears it a lot!
This was after the pinata was finally broken. It took forever to break the pinata, and then when it did break the kids just stood there and slowly picked what they liked. Nothing like when we say a pinata as kids!
Savanna taking a swing.

William getting Batman ready to be bludgeoned by four year olds!
Opening gifts was complete mayham! I have no idea who gave Will what he just ripped them open and moved on to the next one! It was super crazy! Thank you everyone for the great gifts! Look at all those Towheads! We could hardly tell them apart!
Lil'Will and his friend Mason.
Lil'Will enjoying all the birthday fun!
Funny story here, Um I only put three candles on his cake! I know I am a complete blonde. No one told me that I had the wrong number on until after we sang and he blew out the candles. And yes that is a Strawberry Shortcake Cake. He wanted that one and I waited over two weeks before I ordered it hoping that he would change his mind, but alas he got what he wanted!
Lil'Will, Savanna and Maddy going for a ride!
I tried to make the cake look manly by all the batman decorations, but it didn't work. We figure it will be blackmail for when he starts dating girls!
