San Diego Zoo

Carol and Lil'Will in front of the zebras. James calls them horses with stripes!
William in front of the Elephants. Their Elephant exhibit was really cool. They had like four different areas where they kept the elephants and lots of interactive things to read and play on.
Everyone in front of the otters
Gary and Lil'Will getting a bit bugged out!
Lil'Will and his Llama Mama!
Lil'Will getting up close and personal with a goat.
The boys are just lion' around!
They had some great face painters there and so the boys got their faces painted to match their shirts. She had never done a buzz light year before and we thought it was perfect!
The bats are out and about!
Waiting to watch the sea lion show. It was great!

When did blogging get so hard?

I truly haven't had a desire to blog in about four months. I don't know if its because I have had a job for five months and that is why, or the stress of life has just sucked its self out of me. We have had some really fun times too. Grandma and Grandpa Bennett came for Thanksgiving and we had so much fun with them. The boys got to see Santa when they were here, we of course celebrated Thanksgiving and we went to San Diego and so much fun at the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. I also won several games of rummy while they were here. If you have ever played rummy with Carol you would know why this is note worthy (it really is!). We had an amazing December where we had a holiday party every weekend, we played in the snow up at Mt. Charleston. We had a truly magical Christmas where all of our dreams were answered. Our January has been slower than december, always nice. William is taking college classes again so there have been many nights of him working on papers and homework. I am very happy and proud of all of his hard work in his classes. I am watching two kids and our own and so things are always busy during the day, but I love the nights and weekends where it is just our family. Lil'Will has started to take gymnastics class and his loves it!! I am so excited to go with him on Wednesday nights. He has a great teacher and he loves doing all the things on the bars and rings. She makes all these super cool obstacle courses for them and he loves to rush the girls through them so he can get done super fast! James is being potty trained right now. He really didn't have much of an interest until I upped the ante and he now gets 5, yes thats right, count them 5 M &M's for going to the bathroom in the potty!! I am willing to spend the money on the M&M's just so I don't have to spend the money on the diapers. I am even willing to deal with the hyped up baby boy just not to deal with nasty diapers!! Last night after going to the bathroom on the toilet he did a special big boys go potty on the potty dance on the top of our kitchen table!! It was super cute!! I wish I had gotten a video to show you all. Now that you are all caught up I will try and find pictures to go with this exciting news!

A little morbid, but very cute!

I was having a discussion on why Mommy has been on the phone a lot lately with the boys and that I was sorry that was not able to give them the attention that they wanted, but that Mommy was on the phone cause Papaw is real sick and that Mommy is worried and that she needs to talk to lots of family. Will then asked why Papaw was sick and I told him that Papaw has cancer, so of course he wanted to know what cancer was. I tried to explain it in a way that a four year old may understand, So I told him that our bodies are made of cells and that some of Papaws cells don't want to be body cells anymore, they want to be something else. This is the best part. . . Lil'Will then states that it is just like Wolverine!! He then decides to tell me that he doesn't want Papaw to turn into Wolverine, even though that would be awesome!! He also went on about how cancer can turn people into cars (i.e transformers), animals ( like bolt), and (my favorite) batman! I love my boys they can always turn my frown upside down!

I know that I am mentioning this very light heartedly, but we are very upset with my fathers diagnosis and we would greatly appreciate all prayers. It is something that we are trying to understand and hoping for the best!
