The Camp Pendelton Beach

On Monday of our three day get away we spent the day at the beach. While in southern California we stayed at Camp Pendelton, which is a Marine base. This base is huge!! It is also very pretty. They have a nice beach there. Also on the beach they have cabins that you can rent. William and I will checking out how much it is to rent those cabins cause it was wonderful! We got there fairly early on Monday morning and stayed until middle afternoon. The boys were so happy to be playing on the beach, in the sand and the water. Since this is the pacific ocean in April we did not spend much time playing in the ocean. It was real cold. We spent our last 20 minutes running from the waves before we left. They have a large section of the beach where its an animal sactuary and another section where Marines train. I wish we had spent more time at the beach since it was wonderful.

Legoland

A couple of weeks ago we went to Legoland for a few days. We decided that with William off of school for a week that he also needed a tiny spring break with the family. He missed the boys spring break, so he felt the need to celebrate his. We tried to plan a surprise trip, but Big Bobby broke down on Thursday and so for us to take the trip we needed to rent a car, which totally took away the surprise element. Anyways, we left Friday after school and spent all day Saturday and Sunday at Legoland. Legoland was perfect for our boys. They were able to ride all the rides. I think Legoland caps out around 12 years old, after that it is just a bit too little kid for them. What I loved most is that they had all these lego stations that you could use while one person waited in line, then when they came up to you, you would just rejoin them in line for a small wait. The boys loved playing in all the legos with the other kids. Sidenote: We upped our internet speed and so therefore the pictures upload super fast, so there are a lot more pictures in this post than older posts. Yay! For more internet speed!

Baby boy #3!

I have not been a very good blogger, but than again the lap top has been broken and between William doing homework and the boys playing on the computer I haven't really gotten a chance to use it for more than checking facebook and people.com. So I am thrilled to have my lap top back!! Yay!! Today I had an ultrasound and the baby had an EKG done on him. My appointment was at 9 am, well apparently that is just a bit too early for me cause I almost missed it due to the fact that the office is just so far away. I had a wonderful friend watch James and I dropped Will off at William's office, William wasn't able to come due to work. I got there one minute after my appointment. I was so worried about getting there on time that I forgot to eat, but I did take my diabetes pill, so then I was worried I was going to suffer a low while laying on the table. Thankfully I did not. Also the baby was super active. They couldn't get him to sit still long enough to get some good heart pictures. They accused me of drinking a red bull prior to the appointment. I think the baby was just high on adreneline from my drive. After much prodding and poking the baby finally showed them all of his goods. His heart looked perfect in the ultrasound. They will do another EKG in the hospital after the baby is born just to be careful. James was born with a slight heart murmur and they want to be sure that this boy is safe too. Baby boy is now 1lb and 2 oz's. He is right on target. I feel very blessed to have such good dr.s who watch the baby better than I do!!

William's latest accomplishment

William was recently awarded NCO of the quarter for the 98th range wing. This time he had some hard competition and was put up against a master sargeant. We are very proud of him and his latest accomplishment. After the awards ceremony the range wing had a great family picnic. The boys had a lovely time playing with all the other children and eating all the sweets! We truly have enjoyed the 98th range wing and all that they have offered us.

So once again I am taking to my blog to trumpet the accomplishments of my husband. Today I was super excited because for the first time in 4 years I was able to witness my husband receive a medal. Now it is not his first medal, but I have never been able to make it due to having kids with me, but by some magical miracle they both were in school!! He received it in commanders call. Which is when they make every one go into a room and they brief them on all the new things and remind them of all the old things. But in the beginning the Colonel walked in we all stood up and he called William up front. He immediately went into what a wonderful soldier William is and that he was receiving the Air Force Accommodation medal. He then went on to list all the things William has been able to do for the Range Wing since becoming an NCO, noncommissioned officer, a Staff Sergeant. It actually made me tear up hearing how proud his Commanding Officer is of him. This is actually huge for us since William hasn't won anything since becoming the 2009 Airman of the Year for the Warfare Center. Not that he hasn't deserved it but things tend to cool off when you win a huge award. I take that back William did win something while at the Airman Leadership School. But this is still huge. I am very proud of my husband and how much he loves his job. I am thankful that he is supported at work and that they recognize all that he does. What a wonderful blessing for us. William is continuing in his education. He will graduate with his bachelors in August but his last class ends June 25th. I am so proud of him and I am excited for the end of June when I may have my husband back!!

James the stinker

Today James is on fire for being a little stinker. This morning he started out all sweet, by brushing my hair. None of the kids have ever offered to brush or touch my hair before. So I was beyond thrilled. We were in my bedroom since we had just switched out the sheets. I was sitting on the bed watching something on HGTV when he got the brush and started to nicely brush my hair. I was in heaven. I practically melted on the bed. When he was done he showed me the results in my brush, which even as I write this I have to keep from throwing up. I am not a fan of hair that is not attached to me anymore. So, I thanked him kindly and put the brush away. I then laid down next to him. He was behind me as I continued to watch the t.v. He started to play with my hair again and I thought, Oh, my how did I get so blessed to have him play with my hair twice!! Well it didn't last long. Soon his sweet little foot was stuck in my hair!! Yes that is right he was playing with my hair with his feet!! His little piggies had my hair all wrapped around all of them. Here I thought I was being pampered, but nope just being punked!

Later the same day we were all in the kitchen and the boys decided that they were going to paint. They got some paper and James went outside to get a rock. He put his rock on his paper and used another piece to place some paint while he painted. I stayed and supervised until it looked like everything was going well I got up and started to put the lunch dishes in the dishwasher. Then I went to the computer center to get a plate and James meet me over there talking about his rock. I really didn't pay much attention besides telling him to go put his rock outside to dry. I went back to the sink and looked around and realized that there was hot pink paint all over my kitchen floor!! Yikes. Somehow during the paint process James got paint all over the bottom of his shoes and painted my floor and the doggie door since that is how he put his rock outside!! Oh my, Oh my!! So needless to say my floors have been scrubbed and some of my carpet!! He is on a roll, hopefully this is where it stops or he may not make it to bed time!!

Daddy got to fly in a two, two!

Last year William won Airman of the year for the AWC. When he won his wing told him they wanted to possibly give him an incentive flight. That is when they put you in a jet and fly you around. Now this all depends on whether the pilots have an opening. Well, in November they called William and told him they had an opening and they would love to fly him around. He was ecstatic. He flew on December 17th in a F16. It was a rainy cloudy day, which we hardly ever have in Vegas. He was so excited he could hardly sleep the night before. It was very cute. He was told that they would push him until he threw up so in advance he took some dramamine so he could enjoy the flight. Needless to say I don 't think he could ever get enough dramamine in his system so as to not puke. The pilot said that they all puke like that. It has to do with your inner ear and all of a sudden it will fix it self and they stop puking. It took him 10 rides before he adjusted. Needless to say Will only had one flight. The pilot took him over the strip and over the Range Wing. While they were flying they saw a train. So the pilot flew over it than flew back around and dropped real low and raced the train. That was one of Williams favorite parts of the flight. They got up to 6 g's, the pilot was willing to go to 9 but William said that he was ok. By that time he had already thrown up a good bit and didn't want to throw up to much more. He said it was a great award and he was so happy he got to do it. When I asked if he would like to do it again, he said, no thanks, I'm good! So funny! Just a quick mention on the title. Lil'Will used to call the jets, two! So sad that he no longer does that.
